Got a selfie stick? Leave it at home if you will be heading to Disneyland or Walt Disney World because Disney has finally put a ban on these super annoying vanity sticks that not only obstruct everyone’s view at shows but post a real safety hazard on attractions–even the slow ones. If you are you super bummed out that you can no longer have your selfie stick at Disneyland, here are five tips to help you through your next visit
1. Ask someone to take your photo. It’s old fashioned and quaint and maybe you’ll make a new friend.
2. Purchase PhotoPass+ and you can have professional shots sprinkled with pixie dust all over the parks.
3. Use your arm. Simply set your camera on your phone so that it is looking back at you, stick out your arm in front of you and say cheese. Warning: this may require you to get really close to those you are posing with.
4. Go on Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters. They take your pic for FREE while you are on the attraction and you can email it to yourself when you are done. Be sure to have your game face on while you are riding!
5. This one is pretty out there, but here goes: Just enjoy yourself, live in the moment and stop worrying about capturing the next big viral image.
