Hotel Review: The West Inn & Suites in Carlsbad, California

November 23, 2010 in All Posts, off property lodging, other so cal tourist attractions by Lisa Robertson

The West Inn and Suites is a boutique hotel located in Carlsbad, California, only minutes from Legoland, the Carlsbad Outlets and the famous Flower Fields of Carlsbad.  This hotel is kid-friendly, pet-friendly, and just downright friendly.  They pride themselves on their award-winning guest service.  On top of its outstanding hospitality, this hotel brings all of the conveniences a travel needs within steps of the hotel’s entrance.  In the hotel’s self-contained complex are two restaurants, a gas station, and small store.

The 86-room hotel features 36 suites.  Each room is well appointed and features:

  • King size pillow top beds
  • Egyptian cotton linen and terry
  • Abundance of pillows
  • Down duvets & blankets (Hypo-Allergenic solutions available upon request)
  • AVEDA products (MY FAVORITE!!!!!!!!)
  • Complimentary water upon arrival
  • Hair dryer
  • Iron and ironing board
  • In-room safe
  • Refrigerator and microwave
  • In-room coffee maker
  • High definition televisions
  • High speed wired and wireless internet

The hotel also features:

  • Fitness center
  • Heated pool and jacuzzi
  • Smoke free environment
  • Complimentary breakfast
  • Complimentary parking
  • Complimentary shuttle service to Legoland

We loved a lot about this hotel.  We adored the facility with its beautiful yet family-friendly interior.  There’s a great common room stocked with games, toys, and books.  The complementary breakfast was a really nice and there is ample space for families to eat and relax.  At night, the hotel offers cookies and milk, which was a really great treat for the kids

I could go on and on about this hotel.  Below is a video I put together about the hotel.  It pretty much says it all!

If you are considering a trip to Legoland with your family, I really encourage you to consider this fabulous hotel.  This is a great time of year to visit the West Inn & Suites.  Why not take in a little holiday shopping weekend with the girls at the outlets and then relax and recharge at the West?  Go to www.westinnandsuites.com for more information about the hotel and to book a room!

I would like to thank the West Inn & Suites for providing my family a room for the night so that I could review their facilities.  The opinions in this review are my own and may differ from those of others.  Please feel free to contact me through my profile if you would like to ask me anything else about my stay!
