Holiday Gift Guide: Kushies Zolo Stacrobats AND 2 Red Hens Toy Nanny

December 12, 2012 in All Posts, babies & toddlers, giveaways, Jessica, product review, Travel Tips by Jessica McConnel
Traveling with kids is always an adventure and part of making the adventure happier for everyone is making sure to bring toys that make the kids happy and the life easier for mom and dad. I had the chance to check out two very neat baby items that would make a great holiday gift for anyone with babies or small children–especially those of us on the go.

The first gift is a set of Stacrobats, there are 5 magnetic figures and 3 magnetic balls in the set, even the case that they come in is magnetic so you can flip it over the use it as a play piece then zip up the toys inside when you’re done. The toys can be stacked and put together in so many ways – no wonder it says from “1-100 years” on the cover! Also, Stacrobats are a soft toy, a nice feature for when throwing and/or hitting is involved. I love this toy for traveling for a couple of reasons – 1) because they’re magnetic (and decently strong) they stick together, so they’re going to be easier to play with in the car or airplane, and they tend to stay together so they’re not going to be lost as easily, and 2) they come in their own case – no toys strewn through your suitcase.

Carolina (1 year) just loves anything
in the shape of a ball.
Liam (almost 4) loved the Stacrobats maybe more than his sister, and had the magnetic thing figured out.

The next great gift for parents (or their babies) is this Toy Nanny by 2 Red Hens. It’s essentially a floor blanket for babies to sit and play on, then when it’s time to clean up you just cinch the straps and it picks everything up to become a toy tote. The outside/bottom is waterproof and the inside/top is nice and soft, there are also some mesh pockets sewn to the inside for use when in “tote mode.” I love the Toy Nanny for travel for a few reasons – 1) It’s the same idea I had when I brought a sheet with me on vacation – to keep the kids and toys off the dirty hotel room floor;  I just didn’t know there was a product out there that already did it and better! 2) It’s functional as an easy cleaner-upper, and for hauling your kids toys around when you’re headed out to family or friend’s houses. Also, if you’re no planning on using it as a bag during travel, it folds up nice and flat for your suitcase. Once back home, the Toy Nanny is machine washable. It is available in five vintage-inspired patterns: Chevron Stripes, Grey Damask, Peacock Mum, Pink Lemonade and Owl Dots and retails at approximately $70.

All opened up and ready to play.

Stacrobats + Toy Nanny = perfect travel playtime.

The fringe on the GiGi the giraffe toy looks like something a baby would love. I would love carrying the pretty Peacock Mum print Toy Nanny. 🙂
