I know it seems strange to wish a theme park a happy birthday, but for those of us who have worked at Disneyland, July 17 is just a little bit more. It’s the day that former Cast Members reflect on the months and years in which they worked at Disneyland. They think about the friendships they made and the experiences the had. They think about those they worked next to whom they still see, those they lost track of, and those no longer with us. July 17 is the day we think about the little pieces of ourselves we gave to the park, the guests, and our fellow Cast Members.
To all of my friends from Guest Relations, Guest Communications, the Parking Lot, Merchandise, and Westside Attractions, today I am thinking about all of our talks, laughs, and experiences. I love you all and you will always hold a very, very special piece of my heart. Plaid forever, baby!
Happy Birthday, Disneyland. Thank you for the memories of my past and the joys you continue to provide my children and me today.
