The Halloween season brings a lot of fun and festive changes at the Disneyland Resort. A favorite change is the special foods offered at the restaurants and bakeries. From the gingerbread beignets to the Muffaletta sandwhich served in a coffin, there’s lots of great treats. I recently interviewed Chef Mo, the Chef de Cuisine for the Blue Bayou and learned more about all of the seasonal sweet treats and a how-to lesson for making the delicious (high calorie!) Muffaletta sandwich.
What’s your favorite Halloween-season food at the Disneyland Resort? Are there any in my video you would love to try?

favorite foods at disneyland: i have a few essentials that i must get. every time. no matter how many times i go, or how often..
1. Chimichanga – yes they are bordering on disgusting. and yet they remind you of the lunch-line food you once at as a child and you cannot get enough
2. dole pineapple whip float. – beware of when they water down the pinapple juice TOO much, it becomes a water float, however, on a good day, this is a must. no matter what. cold or hot. and you MUST eat it while inside the tiki room.
3. Raspberry white chocolate chip cookies. i dont eat complicated foods. im a simple gal. i dont combine ingredients ever, with the exception of pickles on tacos – dont ask. but this.. this… is heaven. i DREAM about these cookies. i take home a dozen (at a ridiculous cost) and dont care. thick. gooey in the middle. crisp outside. enough chocolate to blow your brains out but without overpowering. the combo of white chocolate CHUNKS and regular chocolate chips gives it just enough to ruin you for the rest of your life.
4. if you can afford it, the filet at the blue bayou. yeah i dont need to explain this one.
5. when its in season – the chocolate chip cookie pirates ship dessert from the blue bayou. but its been gone for a while now.
if you have not tried these things, get your butt over there, and do a smorgesborg day.
