Evan and Emma were so egg-cited for the Egg-stravaganza

My family and I are frequent visitors to the Disneyland Resort (thank you Annual Passes!); as such I am often on the hunt for new and exciting experiences to enhance our days at the park.  Last year we participated in the egg hunting Egg-stravaganza and had an absolute blast!!  I was so glad to hear that this event would be offered again this year and that it is being expanded to include the Downtown Disney District in addition to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.  For our Walt Disney World Resort travelers the Egg-stravaganza is also taking place at Epcot.

The search is on from March 2^nd-27^th you will be able to hunt for special Disney character themed eggs.   Your finds can be recorded on a special Egg-stravaganza map with stickers that correspond to the character egg that you’ve discovered.

Once you’ve completed your hunt, whether or not you find all of the hidden eggs, you can return your map to the following redemption locations to pick up your special surprise: Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure park; Disney Showcase in Disneyland park; World of Disney Store in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort; or Port of Entry in Epcot.  I have to admit I was pretty egg-cited to see the little blue surprise egg this year and know that my daughter will be too!

The egg hunt is a great way to add a new experience to your itinerary and is also a great way to get more familiar with the landmarks and locations at the Disneyland Resort!   Depending on crowds and your familiarity with the parks I suggest that you plan for an hour or two per hunt, per park.  Having never done the Egg-stravaganza before I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t hold my eight year old’s attention, but he absolutely loved it.  I got such a kick out of watching him rush to the next location, hunt high and low for the egg we were seeking, and he even helped his little sister along the way.  This is an eggs-cellent activity and a definite springtime must-do!
