Yesterday, I posted about the ins and outs of Disneyland while pregnant. I got some really great feedback, so thank you very much! In response to the post I got the question below and think a lot of moms-to-be probably have the same question.
Question: Where can I go to cool off during the hot summer months at the Disneyland Resort? (Asked by Andrea over at the blog Las Vegas Mama. Those weren’t her exact words, but you get the drift…)
Answer: Last summer, Melissa from Mel’s Kitchen Creations, did a great post about places to cool off. Click here to read her post. In light of my new book coming out, I thought I would give those of you who haven’t bought it yet (shame on you!) a chance to see (another) part of the book. The except below is from the section on “Managing the Weather.” The piece from my book focuses on attraction where you can go to cool off without having much of a line to deal with.
“There’s no way to control the weather, but below is a list of attractions in which guests can turn to for refuge from extreme heat or rain. These attractions are the best bets for families with young children and have little to no wait/line. If you do have to wait for any of these attractions, you will not have to wait out in the elements, with the exception of the Enchanted Tiki Room. These attractions will keep your family comfortably inside for 15 minutes or longer.
It is important to note that when it rains, most of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park remain open. Some attractions with outdoor tracks must close (Alice in Wonderland, The Many Adventure of Winnie the Pooh, etc.), but there are still plenty of indoor attractions to keep you busy.
