I have three boys ages 7, 5 and 2, and love spending this time of year with them at the Resort. While there are many wonderful things in the Resort this time of year, I have my favorites. Their simple and my family’s traditions. In fact, my yearly November visits are required to kick off the holidays for me.
1. Christmas Fantasy Parade: This annual parade is my ABSOLUTE favorite part of holiday time at Disneyland. I love, love, love it! It’s beautiful, cheerful and fun. It’s what a Disney parade should be–lots and lots and lots of characters and magic all rolled into one.

2. Characters in their holiday best: I know this may seem crazy, but this seeing the characters dressed in their holiday best makes me so incredibly happy each year. I love seeing Mickey and Minnie all dressed up; it’s pretty much one of the cutest things you’ll ever see.
3. Visiting with Santa: Santa and Mrs. Claus are at the Disneyland Resort and I think they are both totally amazing. Santa told my son Aidan exactly where is his warehouses he would find he Lego toys. Check out below where guests can find Santa at the Resort:

4. The decorations: I love the holiday decorations throughout the Resort. I love, love, love holiday decorations and no one decorates like the Disneyland Resort. This year, the new decorations in Disney California Adventure Park are unlike any that have ever been seen in any Disney Parks. And while Cars Land’s creative decor are incredible, I am particularly fond to the attention to detail along Buena Vista Street.
Check out this exclusive video on how Disney created the Buena Vista decorations:
The final scene of “it’s a small world” Holiday is beautiful! |
5.“it’s a small world” Holiday: I adore the holiday overlay given to “it’s a small world.” Like the Christmas Fantasy Parade, it’s one of those things that get me in the holiday spirit each year and there’s nothing that compares to the look on my kids‘ faces while on the attraction. “it’s a small world” Holiday is an attraction that all three kids adore and that final scene is one of the prettiest Christmas displays you’ll ever see!
Last year, I shot this video with Disneyland Ambassador Jolie Hales aboard “it’s a small world” Holiday. Come along with us and enjoy the merry cruise!
