It’s Halloween Time at Disneyland and while for many it’s time to ride Haunted Mansion Holiday, for some of us it’s time to SHOP! Recently, I interviewed Disneyland merchandise spokesperson, Ashley, about some of the great new (and returning) Halloween merchandise available at the Disneyland Resort right now.
As you can see, there are a lot of really great pieces in stores right now. With so much great merchadise in every nook and cranny of the parks, I thought it might be helpful for me to put together a list of our favorite plush, home decor items, hats, popcorn buckets and Halloween/Christmas mashups.
Special Popcorn Buckets
In recent years, souvenir popcorn buckets have become all the rage, and this year is no exception. The Food and Beverage Development Department outdoes themselves coming up with imaginative ways to serve up one of Disneyland’s favorite fast treats. We love the Mickey Mouse popcorn bucket, there there are many others, including Zero below. (Zero glows in the dark and his nose lights up!)
The popcorn buckets always make great decorations once back home. We illuminate ours (that don’t already light up) with battery-operated votives.
Halloween / Christmas Mash-ups
If you love Halloween so much that you make it last through Christmas, these are the items for you. These Mickey and Minnie Haunted Mansion-inspired nutcrackers are perfection and we adore the Halloween Christmas ornaments.
Halloween Plush
Who says Halloween can’t be cute and cuddly? I am a huge fan of keeping Hallween sweet and innocent for my kiddos and that isn’t always easy. I adore the Halloween plush at Disneyland, especially the adorable Figero plus in a jack-o-lantern.
HATS!
There are so many amazing hats at Disneyland, it’s hard to pick one Halloween favorite.
The Minnie witch has has become a classic. So have the Halloween mouse ears that change ever-so-slightly each year.
My favorite hat this year is one that I can already hear my 10-year-old begging for once he sees it. This Jack Skellington hat is so much fun. You wear it similar to mouse eats with Jack proudly hanging out on top of your head. What is really fun is that his legs on the side of the hat can be used as a chin strap so he doesn’t fall off!
Home Decor
This area of Disney shopping is where I could really break the bank. When I saw this candy bowel in the Emporium, I about died. I had to have it!
I can’t get enough of this double-sided walk/door hanging also available at the Emporium. It is so cute!
As mentioned in the video, the light-up resin pumpkin is one of my favorites. It is really well made and one of those decor items that will be in the family for years. I am also a big fan of the countdown to Halloween calendar next to the pumpkin in the photo below. Another really well-made item that you can enjoy with the family for years. (These items are also available at the Emporium.)
What are your favorite Halloween souvenirs? Let us know if the comments?
