One of the characteristics that makes my family unique is how ethnically diverse we are. I’m Japanese and Portuguese, and my husband is Hispanic. We enjoy exposing our son to all of the cultures that make up his blended heritage, whether it’s through food, music, family traditions, holidays or foreign language (my husband’s parents are fluent in both Spanish and English).
I was really excited to hear that in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month—which is from September 15 to October 15—Disney Interactive launched the new Disney ¡Ajá! portal, providing direct access to Spanish-language content on Disney.com for the very first time. Disney ¡Ajá! features a variety of games, activities, videos and full-length episodes for users of all ages. In addition to familiar content from Disney.com presented in Spanish, Disney ¡Ajá! also offers original series from Disney Latin America and Disney Spain.
The site is optimized for tablets and smartphones, allowing
users to access their favorite content across all devices and platforms – a huge plus for families like mine who travel frequently or are often on the go! Disney ¡Ajá! allows kids to interact with their favorite Disney characters in a variety of ways, including:
- Watching complete Spanish-language episodes of shows from Disney Junior, Disney Channel and Disney XD, as well as original series from Disney Latin America and Disney Spain
- Playing games like Teen Beach Movie: Motociclistas contra Surfistas and Jessie: La aventura de Jessie en la gran ciudad
- Singing along with karaoke-style Spanish lyric music videos of Disney songs from classic films like Cinderella and The Lion King, as well as more recent tunes from Tangled, Phineas and Ferb and more
- Printing coloring pages of Mickey & Friends, complete with coloring hints in Spanish
To explore the site, visit Aja.Disney.com. New games, activities, videos and episodes will be added regularly. ¡Así que sigue viniendo para que descubras cosas nuevas! (Keep coming back to discover new things!)
