Babes In Disneyland Book Update!

May 19, 2014 in All Posts, babes in disneyland, book
I am super excited to announce the plans for the second edition of my book, “Babes In Disneyland: The ultimate Disneyland Resort guide for families with young children.” This new edition is even better than the first and will be available in multiple formats: iBooks for iPad: This is the first version that will be available, and it is by far, the coolest way to learn about the Disneyland Resort. The book is very easy to navigate with easy touch navigation and hot links to other parts of the book so there is no need to remember where certain...

3 Reasons Why I’m Not Angry About the Disneyland Price Hike

in All Posts, disneyland resort, legacy annual pass, vacation planning
By now you have likely heard the news that the Disneyland Resort has raised ticket prices on virtually all of its admission offerings and stopped selling new Southern California Annual Passports. (Existing passholders can still renew and get the So Cal passport.) No one likes paying more for stuff, including me. That being said, I am not angry about the price hike and here’s why. 1. I understand the concept of supply and demand. If you’ve been to Disneyland in the last year or so, you have likely noticed that it is more crowded than it used to be....

Ask the Disney Expert: Favorite Store in Downtown Disney

May 13, 2014 in All Posts, Ask the Disney Expert, disneyland, disneyland resort, downtown disney, Jessica, shopping tips
This week, we were asked what our favorite place to shop in Downtown Disney is… I always pop into WonderGround Gallery when I pass through the Downtown Disney District. It’s so interesting to see favorite Disney characters, films and icons through the eyes of the up-and-coming artists whose work is showcased there. It’s my favorite spot to pick up a unique souvenir—from home décor and knickknacks, to clothing and works of art. I’ve also enjoyed attending the artist signing events, where I got some amazing pieces autographed and was able to chat with the talented artists in person. The...

Every trip to the Disneyland Resort if filled with fun and memorable experiences, and whether you frequent the resort monthly like my family or once every few years, it’s always fun to seek out those special touches that make Disneyland and Disney California Adventure truly magical. Here are five of my favorite hidden gems that make my kids swoon with delight each time we visit the Disneyland Resort. 1. Figaro On High Fantasy Faire is Disneyland’s new home-away-from-home for the princesses. Here, just to the west of Sleeping Beauty Castle, guests can meet with some of their favorite princesses in...

Ask the Disney Expert: Something We’ve Never Done!

April 29, 2014 in All Posts, Ask the Disney Expert, disneyland, disneyland resort, Jessica
This week, we were asked if there was anything we wanted to do at the Disneyland Resort that we had never done… Something I’ve never done at the Disneyland Resort but would love to do is spend New Year’s Eve in the theme parks. My husband and I talked about it before our son came along, but we never got around to planning a trip.  I’m always reading about the special entertainment and fireworks offered, and I think it would be so much fun to ring in the New Year at The Happiest Place on Earth while fireworks burst...

Book Review: “Remembering Roy E. Disney: Memories and Photos of a Storied Life” by David Bossert

April 16, 2014 in All Posts, product review, vy
Beyond just visiting the Parks, my husband and I are huge Disney history enthusiasts and enjoy getting the opportunity to read about the people who helped create the magic. My husband got the opportunity to read “Remember Roy E. Disney” and I’m happy to share his personal review with you all! Enjoy!—–Guest Post By David SpearI’ve often believed that the best stories told are the ones that come directly from the source – those in the know who experienced it firsthand. We often retell stories that have been passed on verbally to us, and in doing so, ultimately change the DNA...

Starting on April 10 through April 20th, Guests at either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure Parks can purchase a map at participating store locations ($4.95 + tax) which come with a set of stickers featuring Disney characters as...
