At the big Disney parks presentation at the D23 Expo, Walt Disney Park and Resorts Chairman, Jay Rasulo, announced that a new 3-D version of the tremendously-popular “Star Tours” attraction will debut at the Disneyland Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida in 2011. Based on the iconic Lucasfilm “Star Wars” films, the attraction will include immersive new elements that will take guests to many familiar places in the Star Wars galaxy. The D23 Expo, the ultimate Disney fan experience was held last week at the Anaheim Convention Center. It was four days of Disney history, information, future plans, merchandise, artwork, announcements, and so much more. When my friend Renata and her family travel to Disneyland for the day and plan to stay late, she packs her boys’ pajamas for the car ride home. After a quick wipe down of hands and face just before settling into the car already dressed in PJs, she and her husband can quickly and easily tuck the children straight into bed from the car upon arriving home.
