Terrific Tip Tuesday: Fun stores not to miss on Disneyland’s Main Street
March 24, 2010 in All Posts, disneyland, disneyland resort, main street, merchandise, shopping tips
Beyond the attractions and shows, Disneyland offers unparalleled shopping for Disney enthusiasts and park guests. With stores and shopping experiences at every turn, it’s tough to know where to go to find exactly what you are looking for. Here’s a few of my favorites stores if you find some time to hang out on Main Street: The Candy Palace on Main Street The Candy Palace, on the west side of Main Street features an amazing array of candies and goodies. Much of the candy is available only at Disney parks and there are even treats made right in the...
PeaceLoveMom is lifestyle clothing brand company made up of a team of moms with one common goal – to create “a celebration of motherhood.” The clothing is trendy and fresh, positive and fun. Back before Christmas, I received the Rock & Roll Mom Black Comfy Thermal long sleeve shirt. I normally wear an extra small or small, but because I’m pregnant, I got a medium shirt. Had I not been preggo, I would have gotten the small. I have worn the shirt at least once per week since I got it and I can tell you that it has...
Cover Me Strap Review and Giveaway – Closed

I’m due to have baby number 3 any day now and as with my other children, I will be a dedicated breastfeeding mom. Whether I’m with the kids at the park or at Disneyland, I don’t shy away from nursing in public. I am, however, pretty particular about staying covered up. Nursing cover ups are great, but they can be a little pricey and I admit that there are times that I’ve forgotten them at home. In vain, I usually try to improvise with a baby blanket, but every mom knows how that goes. Instead of trying to just...

As I posted on the Babes in Disneyland Facebook fan page yesterday, I was honored enough to be invited by a friend of mine from work to help go through her grandfather’s personal collection of items acculumated during his very long career as one of Walt Disney’s original prop masters. Going through his belongings was like taking a magical trip back in time and touching and experiencing some of Disney’s most famous movies. I touched Flubber!!!! Do I have a picture of it? No. Was it awesome and amazing to touch a prop from one of my favorite childhood...
Happy Birthday and a Disneyland Splurge
January 12, 2010 in All Posts, disneyland, disneyland resort, merchandise
Yesterday was my husband’s birthday and I surprised him with a very special present. Originally, I had it all planned out, we would arrive at Disneyland in the late morning and while my husband was on Star Tours with our older son, my little guy and I would go over to Fortuosity (formerly known as New Century Time Pieces) on Main Street to let them know we would be coming in to pick up the custom artwork watch and piece of art I commissioned back in early December. Then, after the big unveiling we would walk over to our...

The thing I love the most about writing about Disneyland all year long is the memories I create along the way. Here are just some of my most favorites and when applicable links to blog posts on them: “it’s a small world” Reopened at Disneyland: Love it or hate it, “it’s a small world” reopened after a long refurbishment, cleaned and outfitted with some new Disney-themed additions. I am a huge fan of the artist’s original work and while I don’t hate the new editions, I can admit that my kids really like finding the hidden Disney-themed dolls as...
Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee

On Friday, November 6, Disneyland premiered a new show, Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee! starring the beautiful and talented Princess Tiana and all of her friends from the Walt Disney Pictures animated feature film “The Princess and the Frog.” “The Princess and the Frog” film takes place in Louisiana and New Orleans Square is a natural setting in which to bring the show to life. In a rousing, colorful procession the good times roll as festively dressed, bead-tossing revelers lead Disneyland guests to the Mark Twain Riverboat dock. The party moves onboard as the Mark Twain paddlewheels its way along the...
Bank of Main Street Gets a New Lease on Life

In early October, The Disney Gallery reopened in its new home near Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A. in the former Bank of Main Street. The Bank of Main Street originally opened when Disneyland opened July 17, 1955 as a functioning Bank of America branch. The branch was in operation until 1993 when an atm was moved in and the Guest Relations department took it over and it became the annual passport processing center. Guest Relations handed over the responsibilities for processing annual passes on March 5, 1996 to the Disneyland ticket sellers/Main Entrance department who processed passes at...
