April 21, 2011 in All Posts, walt disney world

I love to travel and as you know, I pride myself on reporting the good and bad of my Disney experiences. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you may remember my World of Color media event post and my running through the halls of the Grand Californian like a marathoner in knee-high, high-healed boots in the pursuit of my screaming baby who refused to take a...

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Where the Magic Happens
in All Posts, Disney entertainment, photography
If there were a place where magic really happens, it would be inside the Roy E. Disney Animation Building at the Disney Studios in Burbank, California. I was fortunate enough attend a small screening of African Cats in the ABC Building just across from the animation building on the Disney lot last week. And when I say small, I mean there were less than 10 of us in the screening room! If you missed my African Cats movie review, complete with information for parents and educators on appropriate ages to view the film and supplemental materials, please click here.

Also that weekend will be a Never Land Family Fun Run 5K. That race will be held Friday, January 27, 2012 at 10:30 p.m. The 5K will take place throughout the Disneyland Resort and appears to have a Never Land theme. (They had me at Never Land.)I’m thinking it would be a lot of fun to turn the 5K into a fun girls’ night. I’m thinking an early dinner, then run the race...

African Cats is the latest film from Disneynature, Disney’s documentary film unit known for their two previous films Earth and Oceans. The film takes place against the backdrop of the beautiful African Savannah and chronicles the efforts of two mother cats—a lion and a cheetah—as they raise their cubs over the course of two years. The lion mother, Layla, is a senior member of the river pride. She is raising her cub,...
