Restaurant Review: Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta
in All Posts, dining, disney california adventure, disneyland resort, paradise pier
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta is my new favorite restaurant at the Disneyland Resort. Chef de Cuisine Jay Garcia and his team have developed a delicious menu full of lots of flavor, quality ingredients, and attention to detail. The interior of the restaurant is really big and beautifully designed. Beyond the quality of the food is the extra training that has gone in to training restaurant’s Cast Members. Chef Garcia worked with all of the restaurant’s Cast Members–from the cooks to the bussers and beyond to educated them on all of the food selections and how they are prepared....

Welcome to this week’s Disney Blog Hop. This week it’s all about Disney joy and one of my favorite joyful Disney moments is the first time my son Connor saw Mickey Mouse. How precious is this picture?! This picture was taken at the annual Disneyland Resort holiday kick off event at the Grand Californian. Now on to the blog hop: • This blog hop is for ALL Disney-related blogs, whether you blog about the parks, animation, a specific character, Disney corporate, etc. If you are a blogger who covers Disney, feel free to enter, but be sure to enter a...
Restaurant Review: Paradise Garden Grill
in All Posts, dining, disney california adventure, disneyland resort, paradise pier
Leave it to the chefs at the Disneyland Resort to take theme park dining to a whole new level. Last week, I had a chance to sample the entrees served at Disney California Adventure park’s new Paradise Garden Grill restaurant. Chef de Cuisine Jay Garcia and the concept chefs at the resort have gone outside the theme park box and have brought together a Mediterranean-inspired menu that provides guests with healthy, delicious dining options. Below is the menu for Paradise Garden Grill. As you can see, the menu is based upon building your own Mediterranean skewer meal. I was...
The Paradise Pier Story
in All Posts, dining, disney california adventure, disneyland resort, paradise pier
Last week, Karlos Siqueiros, manager of concept development for Food Operations, told me the “story” behind Paradise Pier’s new restaurant complex and I’m happy to share it with you. Back in the 1930s, a family came to the beach side Paradise Pier and opened a Mediteranean restaurant serving their native meat and veggie skewers. The business took off and the family opened a second business, Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta. As time passed, both restaurants flourished and the family decided to open a ride next to their restaurants–Goofy’s Sky School. As you meander through Paradise Pier, keep a keen eye...

If your house is anything like mine, Jake and the Never Land Pirates has infiltrated your DVR and play time. My boys–ages 3 and 6–adore Jake and his friends. This summer Never Land Pirates fans can go online and play fun Disney Junior games and print great crafts. Head over to the special “Jake’s Yo Ho Let’s Go Summer” website and check out all of the fun stuff for families. My kids are huge fans of the coloring sheets and the printable pirate hats. We plan on bringing the pirate hats next time we go to see the Disney...
Attraction Review: Goofy’s Sky School
in All Posts, attraction tips, attractions, disney california adventure, disneyland resort, fastpass, Tips & Tricks for Families
On Thursday, June 30, Goofy’s Sky School opened at Disney California Adventure. The attraction is a steel roller coaster located in Paradise Pier and themed after the cartoon, Goofy’s Glider. Goofy’s Sky School is not a new attraction; it is the Mulholland Madness coaster re-themed to be more…Disney. Goofy’s Sky School is a fun attraction and while it’s not a “big time” roller coaster with crazy twists, turns, and loops, it is a lot of fun…especially for those of us who aren’t necessarily roller coaster enthusiasts. The attraction takes riders on their maiden flights as new pilots entering Goofy’s flight school....

in All Posts, babies & toddlers, disneyland resort, favorite products, strollers
For today’s Monday Must Have, I am happy to share with you the Maxi-Cosi Mila stroller. I have been testing out this stroller for about a month and I am very impressed by it and all of its features. I have to tell you that I cannot say enough about how much I love this stroller. It offers a whole lot of convenience and comfort in a streamlined stroller that folds very, very compact. What makes this product great? The Mila is a stroller that has it all–comfort for the child and parent, a compact fold, ample sun shade,...
