A brand new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episode will premiere next Monday, September 12 on Disney Junior. In the new 45-minute special, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Space Adventure,” Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto blast off into outer space in the Clubhouse rocket on an intergalactic treasure hunt that takes the gang to the Moon, Mars and the Rings of Saturn. My boys with Commander Chris Ferguson Last month, the great folks at Disney Junior invited children from the East Los Angeles Boys and Girls Club to preview the new episode and meet the real-life astronauts of the last space...
It’s been a wild and crazy summer for this Disney gal–starting with the Summer Soundsational event at Disneyland and ending with the D23 Expo. As I reflect back on my summer of blogging, it simply wouldn’t have been the same without my fellow bloggers. If you don’t follow these folks, you should; they are wonderful people and devout Disney fans. Marcy from The Daily Disney and The Three Disneyland Moms at the D23 Expo. My friends, Joyce and Al, from Tales from the Mouse House podcast. Stop by and check out their fantastic Disneyland podcast and their blogs! The...

Interview with Wilmer Valderrama, the voice of Handy Manny
September 6, 2011 in All Posts, d23, disney junior, video
There’s no mistaking the opening few bars of the Disney Junior cartoon, Handy Manny. It doesn’t matter what the kids are doing; if they hear that music, they come running. Handy Manny is a favorite in our home. We have lots of Manny toys, books, and it’s set to record daily on our DVR. The boys love Manny and his tools. I love the show because it teaches children problem solving skills, lessons on being green and the environment, and the importance of helping others. I also love that the characters on Handy Manny–from the tools to the “real”...

Welcome to the Disney Blog Hop. I would like to start today’s hop by apologizing to all of the hoppers for not keeping up with the hop as well as I should. The last month or two have been totally chaotic for my family with so much going on that I’ve felt like I’ve barely had enough time to minimally keep up with my blog. I feel awful and noticed that less people have been joining the hop. I’m hoping that’s because of summer vacations and others feeling the crazy impact of summer like I’ve felt and that it...
This post is going to really test the “Almost” in my (Almost) Wordless Wednesday. The Walt Disney Archives was well represented at the D23 Expo with an impressive exhibit featuring props and costumes from favorite television shows and movies dating back to the Mickey Mouse Club and Zorro. The exhibit was perhaps the most popular attraction at the expo with a line of at least an hour. The night before the Expo officially opened to fans, I shared this video of the exhibit. I am pleased to share with you these photographs, as well. The picture above is an...
