I’ve been writing about Disneyland for a long time now and in that time, I’ve helped countless readers plan their trips and make the most of their vacations. In the midst of the planning and the list making, there’s something that we should never forget, and that’s the magic. Halloween Eats and Sweet Treats + How to Make Disneyland’s Famous Muffaletta Sandwich
October 12, 2011 in All Posts, dining, disneyland, disneyland resort, halloween, vacation planning
The Halloween season brings a lot of fun and festive changes at the Disneyland Resort. A favorite change is the special foods offered at the restaurants and bakeries. From the gingerbread beignets to the Muffaletta sandwhich served in a coffin, there’s lots of great treats. I recently interviewed Chef Mo, the Chef de Cuisine for the Blue Bayou and learned more about all of the seasonal sweet treats and a how-to lesson for making the delicious (high calorie!) Muffaletta sandwich. What’s your favorite Halloween-season food at the Disneyland Resort? Are there any in my video you would love to...

Our boys in those early Disneyland days. For those of you who have read my book, you know that it is dedicated to my friend, Renata. I thought it was time I shed a little light on our friendship. We had never really met–only passed briefly in the halls when I was subbing for other teachers at the school. At the time,...

Disney made my dream of reporting on camera come true! Meeting Marcy and Suz, is definitely one of the best things about working with Disney. In 1998, I walked out the Harbor House gate for the last time with a lump in my throat and my last paycheck paying out my unused vacation time. Back then, I thought I would never have a relationship with Disneyland again. I left so that I could grow professionally, but even with a great job and bright future ahead of me, I still felt like I was leaving a piece of myself behind...
