Fun Fact Friday: How long did it take to build Disneyland?
November 4, 2011 in All Posts, disneyland, fun facts
Did you know that Disneyland opened one year and one day after the groundbreaking? Hard to believe considering that today, it would probably be tough to get the permits and approvals necessary in that amount of time! Today’s photos are courtesy of Davelandweb.com. If you aren’t already a fan of Dave’s amazing Disneyland website and blog, you are seriously missing out. He is the ultimate resource and authority when it comes to Disneyland photography and history. Dave even sells quality lab-printed historical Disneyland photos very reasonably.

Terrific Tip Tuesday: Let’s Talk Costumes Post Halloween!
October 31, 2011 in All Posts, Tips & Tricks for Families
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Kids + Costumes = Great Disneyland Pictures and Experiences. Now that you’ve given out the candy to the last of the trick-or-treaters, it’s time to hop in the car and hit the Halloween stores, Target, and Walmart for the 50% off costumes. I’ll be hitting those seasonal Halloween stores that pop up all over town to pick up costumes for my boys to wear to Disneyland and for regular dress up. I’ll be adding some pirate costumes and accessories to our treasure chest and I have my eye on some...

Knott’s Berry Farm Camp Spooky Review
October 26, 2011 in All Posts, other so cal tourist attractions
Last weekend, we packed up the boys and met up with my parents to enjoy a fun day at Knott’s Berry Farm. This was our first Knott’s trip and we had an absolutely fantastic time! Knott’s Berry Farm is known to teens and adults for its Halloween Haunt, but what you may not know is that during the day, Knott’s is an outstanding place for families during the Halloween season with trick-or-treating throughout Camp Spooky (Camp Snoopy), crafts and a Halloween-themed show and parade. The Camp Spooky Halloween fun is included with park admission and is intended for children...
