On each visit to Disneyland Park, I have to have a sip of the signature drink of New Orleans Square—the Mint Julep! This has been an iconic Disneyland favorite for me ever since my earliest visits with my family in the 1980s. It’s refreshing, not too minty, and festively garnished with maraschino cherries, fresh mint and a speared lemon. In addition to enjoying this cool treat at Blue Bayou Restaurant, it can also be found at Cafe Orleans (and is extra tasty with some of those delicious Pommes Frites) or alongside an order of Mickey-shaped beignets at the Mint Julep Bar! Bottoms up!
My oldest favorite is the Mint Julep, it’s just classic Disneyland for me, when I take that first sip I know I’m really there – and although I’ve tried to replicate it at home, I just can’t do it! My newest favorite is the Iced Coffee with Cinnamon at the Jolly Holiday Bakery – it’s not particularly unique, but it’s just sooo delicious (and full of necessary caffeine), I think my husband and I went through four in one day on our last trip! A new unique drink that I’ve GOT to try next time I’m there is the PB&J Soda from Carnation Cafe – I’m obsessed with PB&J, and this sounds amazing!
After a long, hot day in the parks I really look forward to a refreshing Louisiana Lemonade from the Blue Bayou Restaurant. The drink is a mixture of lemonade, Sprite, mango and raspberry flavors and comes with a souvenir light up ice cube. The ambiance of the Blue Bayou coupled with the yummy Louisiana Lemonade is a truly unique experience.
I had my first mint julep a year ago and it was life changing! Up until that point, the idea of a mint drink was a big turn off. Once I had one, I realized that I had been seriously missing out all these years! My other favorite drink is a nonfat vanilla latte (on ice) from the coffee cart in Central Plaza at Disneyland.
My favorite unique drink at the Disneyland Resort is the All-Natural Lemonade at The Carnation Cafe served with a dollop of citrus foam in the shape of Mickey’s head. The sweetness of the foam mixed with the tart lemonade makes this drink so refreshing. It’s great to sip and watch the world pass by on Main Street USA.
Those are our favorites. Now… share yours! We’d love to hear what you have to say!

My favorite is currently the Boysen-Apple Freeze at Maurice’s Treats. The mint Julep is pretty high on my list, though!
