This week, we were asked what our favorite sit-down restaurant in Disney California Adventure is, and why…
“Carthay Circle Restaurant is my favorite table-service dining location in Disney California Adventure Park. I’m always star-struck by the 1930s-Hollywood atmosphere of this elegant restaurant. It’s on the second floor of Disney’s reproduction of Carthay Circle Theatre, where Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (my favorite classic Disney film!) premiered, so the much of the restaurant’s décor pays homage to the film and Walt Disney himself. I like to start my meal with the Carthay Signature Fried Biscuits, which are stuffed with white cheddar, bacon and jalapeno and served with apricot honey butter. Yum!”
“The Cove Bar is my favorite sit-down restaurant (although also a bar) in California Adventure, it’s also one of my favorite lesser-known spots. The Cove Bar is right on the end of the bridge that takes you through the Paradise Pier section of the park, and sits right on/over the water with a great view of Mickey’s Fun Wheel and the whole midway area. At night, with all the pier lights turned on, the view is stunning – but the food is what really clenches it. Two words: Lobster Nachos.”
“Our favorite sit down restaurant is Ariel’s Grotto for character dining. It’s a nice, relaxing, and entertaining meal with plenty of photos and autographs with my Daughter’s favorite princesses.”
“My favorite sit-down restaurant in DCA is the Carthay Circle Restaurant. I love everything about it–from the decor to the service, and of course, the food. I love that it looks like the imagineers got it right with the time-period decor and furnishings and the food rivals anything served at the finer restaurants in Los Angeles. And while many people gripe about the price, I find the quality and cost totally on-par with restaurants in L.A.”
“I would have to say my favorite is the Carthay Circle Lounge & Restaurant.
You can have small bites at the lounge and relax with a French press coffee, or dine in the beautiful restaurant upstairs and get treated to wonderful seasonal dishes created by Chef Andrew Sutton of Napa Rose fame. Delicious!”
