Last week, during my family’s annual Mickey’s Halloween Party trip, we spent quite a bit of time at the Halloween Carnival at Big Thunder Ranch. My kids enjoyed playing carnival games, coloring masks, and seeing some of their favorite characters in their Halloween costumes.
We also loved watching the “Incredible Pumpkin Carvers” at work. Using tools such as carving knives, wood gouges, skewers, scrapers, ribbon, and paint the Disneyland pumpkin carvers spend their days transforming pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors into amazing works of Disney art.

While we were there “Incredible Pumpkin Carver” Lori was putting the finishing touches on King Candy (Villain from Wreck-it-Ralph) and his race kart. We were able to see the art that inspired the piece as well as the final assembly- so cool!

If you’re planning on visiting the Disneyland Resort for the Halloween Time festivities be sure to stop by the Halloween Carnival at Big Thunder Ranch for a little pumpkin carving inspiration and to see first hand the incredible art created by the “Incredible Pumpkin Carvers.”
