Did you know that Disney has it’s own online music store? Similar to how iTunes functions, the site has a collection of today’s hit Disney music and timeless classics available for download. What make the site great is that it’s all Disney and parents can purchase special Disney Music gift cards at Wal-Mart and grocery retailers everywhere. The gift cards are fabulous gifts for birthdays, holidays or an excellent report card.
Here’s what I like most about Disney Music Store.
- No explicit music or content! Unlike iTunes or Amazon for music, parents don’t have to worry about what kids download because it’s all Disney.
- No surprise downloads from iTunes!
- Classics and new music together. As much as kids love new music, it is really important to me that I expose my kids to the classics.
- I know I’ll love whatever they download. Let’s face it, there’s a lot of not-so-good kid music out there and if your kids are going to play a song over and over, it’s better for my sanity (and for them in the long run) if I love the music too!
All tracks for sale at the easy-to-navigate Disney digital music store website are MP3s, compatible with any computer or digital music device. The site takes the gift cards or major credit cards and I love the variety of Disney Parks music available on the site. All songs are either 99 cents or $1.29. Full album or collections of songs are also available.
When it comes to music for me, I am especially a fan of the Circle Sessions album. You know that amazing Disney-inspired jazz music played at the Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure Park? They sell the entire album available for download at the Disney Music Store! It’s totally relaxing and allows me to take a mental trip to the Carthay Circle Restaurant while sipping my coffee in the morning. Disney Parks fans like me are also suckers for the Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion soundtracks–just like what you hear at the parks.
