Happy June! The start of The Disneyland Resort’s Monstrous Summer kicked off with the success of the Monstrous All-Nighter event on Friday, May 24, 2013. (Check back soon for Lisa’s video and blog post all about it!) Other exciting happenings include the premiere of the new show, “Mickey and The Magical Map“ and the first of many “Small World” celebrations. Opa! A Celebration of Greece (May 25-27, 2013)
The weekend after the Monstrous All-Nighter marked Opa! A Celebration of Greece throughout the Disneyland Resort and Downtown Disney District. The 3-day celebration featured music, dance, art, food, and events celebrating Greek culture. Guests could even meet Hercules and get a lesson in archery!
Party with the Monsters University Gang! (on-going)
Mike and Sully from Disney*Pixar’s new film, Monsters University are making special appearances at Disney California Adventure and sporting their MU pride! Not only will they be leading the Pixar Play Parade with some of their new Monsters University friends, you’ll also find them in front of the MU Dorms for some photo opportunities. Don’t miss out!

Mickey’s Compass Quest
In celebration of the opening of Disneyland’s all-new show “Mickey and the Magical Map”, Guests who attend the show at Fantasyland Theatre will be invited to participate in Mickey’s Compass Quest and extend the experience! After the show ends, Guests can grab a map and follow a series of clues inspired by the show to secret spots around the park where you’ll uncover hidden markers and challenges to complete. If you do, you’ll get a special reward!
Limited Time Magic for Annual Passholders: Mickey and The Magical Map Show & Presentation! (June 4 & 11, 2013)
Annual Passholders also get the opportunity to experience “Mickey & The Magical Map” with an exclusive show and presentation. After the show, Passholders will experience a special behind-the-scenes presentation by the creative team who brought “Mickey and the Magical Map” to life! Find more details here.
