On Saturday, our family was invited to attend a very special concert at Disney California Adventure park as part of the Never Land Pirate Band meet-up from the Disney Parks Blog. Every so often, the Disney Parks Blog posts meet-ups for its readers. The meet-ups are fun activities that take place at Disneyland or Disney California Adventure Park and typically include admission to the given park after the activity. In the past, activities have included opportunities to see special parade performances and the floats up close or a night of Electronica.
Once Sharky and Bones hit the stage, the kids (ok, and the adults too) went wild. Sharky invited the kids and their parents down front to the pirate pit and then rocked out. They played all of the songs the kids know from the show, then treated us all to the new tune, Gold Dabloons. (It’s in the video below and your kids will love it!)
As the concert went on, they were joined on stage by Captain Hook, Jake, and Mr. Smee. After the show, Sharky and Bones hung around to take pictures and sign autographs. Our boys were so excited to see their favorite pirate band and walked through the park dressed in their pirate best humming the tunes from earlier as we spent another great day at Disney California Adventure park.
As guests left the concert, they received special gift bags with some very special treats, including FASTPASSes for World of Color and a ticket to a very special Disney Junior Live on Stage! show. Also in the gift bag was a Never Land Pirate Band CD. If you haven’t heard the Never Land Pirate Band CD yet, it is amazing. Honestly, it is the best kid music ever with great lyrics that parents can laugh at and sing along too and some pretty serious guitar work. Our favorite song has to be Hot Lava. We all love it. A close second is Roll Up the Map, though. 🙂

Im not involved enough to know the names of the songs. But I love the one where the live action band does the thing with the hand motions. I NEVER get them right.
We love the Talk Like a Pirate song!
Our favorite is “Roll Up the Map”. My two year old loves the hand gestures and gets so excited when it comes on tv. He has a pirate ship water table and plays Sharky and Bones and sings. Too cute! Melissa at mouseketrips .com
