Admit it. Since Disney announced they their Star Wars purchase you have been waiting for more Star Wars integration at the Disneyland Resort. Well, my friends, the wait is almost over. Starting November 16, Season of the Force will begin at Disneyland. If you are a Star Wars fan, you are not going to want to miss it!
Star Wars Launch Bay
Yes! The Innoventions building is coming back as the rethemed Star Wars Launch bay with opportunities to visit with favorite Star Wars characters, special exhibits, peeks at the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens and much more. It will feature:
- Dark Side Character Meet and Greet with the most iconic Stars villain, Darth Vader.
- Light Side Character Meet and Greet in a makeshift Rebel base with the most famous co-pilot in the galaxy, Chewbacca.
- Dark Side Gallery in which guests will get a look at authentic pieces of stormtrooper armor as well as famous Sith lightsabers once wielded by masters of the dark side.
- Light Side Gallery where guests can explore a gallery filled with Rebel flight helmets and lightsabers once wielded by Jedi Knights.
- Preview Gallery complete with props from the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
- Starship Gallery with models of famous starships and their pilots from throughout the Star Wars movies.
- The Star Wars Game Center where guests can play the latest games from the Star Wars galaxy, including Disney Infinity 3.0 – featuring park-exclusive Toy Box levels.
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple
Coming in December, outside Star Wars Launch Bay, guests will be able to experience Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. This twist on the Jedi Training Academy will bring Padawans face-to-face with new characters and a new villain from the popular Disney XD series, Star Wars Rebels.
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
Get ready for long lines at Star Tours because a new scene inspired by the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be added to the attraction.
Other Limited-Time Experiences
- Guests will have to opportunity to revisit some of their favorite scenes from classic Star Wars films at Tomorrowland Theater.
- Hungry you will not be when you try the new themed food.
- Space Mountain will be reimagined as Hyperspace Mountain and put guests right into the midst of an X-wing starfighter battle.
