After spending a day of waiting in lines for attractions, no one wants to wait in line for food. Coming soon, the Disneyland Resort will offer guests the option to order foods and beverages from the convenience of their smart devices. The service will allow guests to select menu items from participating locations, customize their order as needed and pre-pay on the app. Guests will also be able to select their arrival time for window pickup and allow annual passholders to apply their discounts all within the Disneyland app!

When you arrive at the restaurant during your pre-selected arrival time, you’ll open the app and select the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” button. This will let the restaurant know that they can start your order, ensuring your meal is warm and not sitting around forever. (Essentially, it’s like a FASTPASS for your food and drinks.) When your food is ready, you’ll receive a notification from the app and you’ll be able to pick up your meal at a designated window.

We will write a new post all about mobile ordering once the Disneyland Resort releases the list of participating restaurants and we’ve had a chance to test it out.

Personally, I love the idea of being able to order meals while standing in line for an attraction and know that we can have our food ready to pick up once we are finished and ready to eat! Talk about a time saver! This is going to be such a beneficial tool on busy days.
