For the last seven years I’ve lugged a bulky, heavy, and not so fashionable diaper bag around the Disneyland Resort. Being the eternal Girl Scout that I am, my bag was loaded down with BAND-AIDs, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, sunscreen, snacks, and at least one extra camera (usually two). As my kids have gotten older, however, we’ve transitioned from needing extra clothes, snacks, and diapers to needing storage space for autograph books, wallets, and sunscreen. I’ve also visited the Disneyland Resort several times for the Babes In Disneyland Blog and have really needed a bag to help me carry my DSLR camera, extra lenses, notebook, cell phone, and the like.
Several months ago I started searching for a new, functional, and stylish bag to carry while visiting the Disneyland Resort but had come up empty handed until recently, when LeSportsac sent me the Voyager Backpack to review. From the moment that I took it out of the box I was smitten. I was instantly struck by the quality of the backpack. The zippers, clips, and straps are all reinforced and sturdy indicating that this was a bag that was going to last the test of time. The fabric is soft, water resistant, and held it’s shape perfectly, even after being shipped and packed in my luggage. The “it’s a small world” Around the World pattern is bright and colorful, with children from each country represented with their corresponding flags and/or landmarks.

I was eager to give my new backpack a test run so I made sure to pack it for our most recent trip to the Disneyland Resort. While loading it up for our day at the Parks I discovered one of my absolute favorite features- the inside pockets! The mesh pockets were absolutely perfect for items that I wanted to be able to quickly grab/ use throughout the day such as my wallet, extra camera lens, and sunscreen. The small zippered pouch also came in very handy for smaller items that I wanted to get to quickly like FASTPASSes.

They Voyager Backpack is a great size and fit my needs perfectly. For this trip I carried my camera and an extra lens, 2 autograph books, my wallet, and a few other odds and ends (BAND-AIDS included) with tons of room to spare. Because the backpack itself is quite light I didn’t feel weighed down despite carrying quite a bit. If you are still in need of a diaper bag the Voyager Backpack would be an excellent alternative to the more traditional rectangle, one-shoulder styles.

How much do I love all of these? Way too much! I worked at IASW for six LOVELY years and rush to defend when anyone rolls their eyes and says, “That song!” I think my favorite one is the “Hopes and Dreams pouch.” They did a great job on the sundial!
