All week, I’ve been fielding the questions about crowds and Thanksgiving. Visiting Disneyland at Thanksgiving is a great way to kick off the holidays and for moms, we get out of cooking and get to dig in to a meal made for us by the Disneyland chefs.
That being said, the Disneyland Resort is very busy Thanksgiving week. Many schools are closed this week or have a limited schedule. The same goes with many employers, as well, and both of these factors add up to increased attendance through the weekend.
If you are thinking about heading to the Disneyland Resort this week, consider these tips:
- If you are hoping for a table service meal, make reservations by calling (714) 781-DINE.
- Disney California Adventure continues to be slightly less crowded than Disneyland, with the exception of Cars Land. You may want to consider spending more time in this park.
- When it is crowded, Jingle Jangle Jamboree in Frontierland’s Big Thunder Ranch is a large, spacious area in Disneyland that allows kids to stretch their legs and have fun with the family.
- Did you know that we have our very own list of “must-do” experiences for crowded days? While these experiences may lack the thrills of the Matterhorn Bobsleds and Space Mountain, they do offer fun alternatives that rarely have any sort of wait!
