“Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” is the dazzling fireworks show created for the Disneyland Resort’s 2018 Pixar Fest that is going on now through September 3, 2018. “Together Forever” shows nightly at Disneyland Park with four incredible viewing areas – Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, Rivers of America and “it’s a small world.” Each area features custom effects that create a unique experience which means you can watch the show four times and experience the magic in a different way!
The show is a celebration of friendship and Pixar characters brought to life with through dazzling pyrotechnics, immersive projections, colorful lasers and memorable music. It’s way more than a mere fireworks show; it’s a multimedia spectactular!

The Basics… and Beyond!
- “Together Forever” celebrates characters from all 19 Disney•Pixar films.
- Buzz Lightyear starts the show by flying 100 feet in the air above Sleeping Beauty Castle. As he takes flight, he opens the show with a spin on his infamous “To infinity… and beyond” and says, “To friendship…and beyond!”
- “Together Forever” contains more than 900 separate fireworks effects, digitally controlled within 1/30 of a second.
- The Pizza Planet truck is an Easter Egg hidden in most Pixar films, and it the tradition continues in “Together Forever.”
- Carl Fredricksen’s House from Disney•Pixar’s film, “Up” flies in the sky as part of the show. It is the largest object to fly in a fireworks show in Disneyland history.
The Music!
- Music was specially created for“Together Forever.” The orchestra included 101 musicians and 20 vocalists.
- A custom version of Randy Newman’s hit song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” was specially arranged for the show and serves as the musical thread for the show. “If I Didn’t Have You” from Monsters Inc. also received a new arrangement.
- The voice of Anthony Gonzalez, who played the lead role of Miguel in Disney•Pixar’s “Coco,” can be heard singing “The World Es Mi Familia” during the “Coco” portion of the show.
- “The World Es Mi Familia” features authentic Mexican singers and musicians who play traditional mariachi instruments like the vihuela, guitar, and guitarrón.
Projections and Special Effects!
- Mapped projections bring the storytelling of “Together Forever” to life on Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and the façade of the “it’s a small world.”
- With the use of projection mapping, more than 300 Space Aliens from “Toy Story” appear on the façade of the buildings on Main Street, U.S.A., and Sleeping Beauty Castle during their moment in “Together Forever.” The adorable green Space Aliens also appear on the façade of the “it’s a small world” attraction.
- Laser beams project down Main Street, U.S.A., in the scene where the Incredibles battle the Omnidroid at Sleeping Beauty Castle. Lasers are also used at the Rivers of America viewing location.
- During the excitement of the “Toy Story 3” scene as Sleeping Beauty Castle, six enormous flames shot up 30 feet in the air.
- During the “Coco” adventure, 10 townspeople from the Land of the Dead appear on the rooftops of Main Street, U.S.A. Each of these characters stretches more than 10 feet tall and they join the animated mariachi and folklórico dancers projected on Main Street U.S.A., bringing to life a colorful fiesta.
