Decorating an area of the Disneyland Resort like Main Street or Buena Vista Street is no easy task. Decorating a place like Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park? That’s even tougher. When Dave Caranci, the Resort’s manager of resort enhancement, and his team were tasked with “thinking like a car” to put a holiday spin on Cars Land, they worked with John Lasseter and the artists at Pixar to create an imaginative, fresh holiday experience.
This video was shot during a very special media tour of Cars Land given by Dave, and is the second in our video series on behind the decorations of Disney California Adventure. (Click here to check out Part 1 on Buena Vista Street by clicking here.) In it, you’ll learn about how the Disneyland Resort worked with Pixar and some very special information on what guests can expect to see in Cars Land next year.
Please note that the audio is a little poor in the beginning because of all of the interference with the parade and other park noise. It does get better a minute or two in. If you are one of those Disney fans who always asks, “How did they think of that?,” this is the video for you!
