I have been a mother for nearly twelve years. When it comes to my favorite products, I thought I had things all figured out. I am pretty good about sticking to the basics, and I try not to fall for every new thing that comes along. When it came to finding a travel crib, I have used the same standard travel crib/playpen with all three of my kiddos. Honestly, I just figured all travel cribs were all the same, so I just chose one that looked good, had a positive rating, and didn’t think too much about it.

Recently, Baby Bjorn gave me the opportunity to try something new – introducing the incredible Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light. Again, I was hesitant for change. Weren’t these travel cribs all the same? WELL, I was wrong. I hadn’t tried Baby Bjorn’s Travel Crib Light.

Right away, the most obvious difference is the appearance of the Travel Crib Light. It comes in a very light weight, slim line bag. The whole thing weighs just thirteen pounds! I was able to easily carry it with one arm, while easily carrying my one year old with the other. In fact, it weighs less than she does!   My seven year old was very proud that he was easily able to carry it too, and he loaded it into our mini-van all by himself. Yay for helpers!

Even better than the light weight of the Travel Crib Light, was the absolute ease of setting it up. It literally took less than two minutes (including reading the instructions). First, I watched my husband set it up, and I laughed. It was seriously so fast. He looked at me and told me I needed to try it, so he folded it back up (again, SO quickly), and then I set it up myself, with the exact same fast and easy results.

I tried to take my own video, but Baby Bjorn already had such a cute, super short, video on their website, so I am posting that one instead.

The Travel Crib Light is different from all of the travel cribs I’ve tried in the past. It does not come with loose or difficult parts to fumble around with. The legs easily unfold, and then the crib sturdily stands at once. It has an angled shape that settles firmly on the floor and takes up less space than the ones I previously used. Also, the crib mattress feels soft and comfortable to the touch, rather than some of the plastic type ones I have felt in the past. It is an all-around fantastic product.

I absolutely love the Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light. I’m so glad that I gave it a chance. It was seriously so easy to use. My very favorite glowing review is that my one-year-old slept through the night, in a new hotel, on her very first time trying it out. That has to get the product some sort of gold star, right?
