The Christmas Fantasy Parade is the official holiday element that kicks off the holiday season for me. I saw it last week and it already has me in the Christmas state of mind. The parade brings out almost every Disney character you can think of–in their holiday best–as well as its iconic roller skating snowflakes and dancing snowmen (and women) and gingerbread men.
If you will be heading to the Disneyland Resort this holiday season, this is a must. No seriously. A MUST! It is an instant hit for young children and because the latest parade time is 5:30, it is well before bedtime, unlike other holiday favorites at the Resort like “World of Color – Winter Dreams” and Believe…In Holiday Magic fireworks.
As an added bonus, Disney has added a few new elements to this year’s show, including winter skiers (on roller skis) who glide around a frost-covered pine tree, Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen from “The Princess and the Frog” at the Candlelight Costume Ball flat, and a corps of Finale Dancers in gorgeous Dickens-era costumes who lead the way for Santa and his reindeer.
The Christmas Fantasy Parade is performed at
Disneyland daily through January 6. Most days, the parade is performed at 5:30 and on busier days, it dazzles guests twice per day at 2:30 and 5:30.
Can’t make it to the Disneyland Resort this holiday season? Our friends over at DAPS Magic have filmed the entire parade (during the day) so you can experience all of the beauty and details!
